The best Centrino laptop

To Buzz, man I don't know what you are smoking, but the Z1A is a killer system. Sure the graphics adapter is not the largest, but why would you want to play hardcore games on this system? And the WiFi DOES work very well, better than most.
I use this system at work and it puts out no heat and is perfect for meetings because of its long battery life.
Not Impressed at all!

Purchased this notebook while traveling through New Orleans last week. Admittedly drunk and medicated, I purchased an open box from JJ's Electronics and Bitches. Now sober I am seeing poor graphics and slow hard drive times. The integrated WIFI is also pathetic. Give the specs serious consideration before jumping in like I did.

On a more personal level, the new PCG-Z1AP1 is a killer system. You truly have to see one to appreciate it. When out in public with it, the PCG-Z1AP1 is a real head turner because of its good looks. I currently have a VPR Matrix 200A5 and I have to admit that I think I like the Sony more. I hope you enjoyed the review.

This laptop has less v-ram but still gets higher 3d-marks using 3dmark2001 and there is jsut somethign about that higher resolution screen (1400x1050) that makes this thing yell "I rule!"
The wireless is the best ive ever come across, the case is sleek and even has a port for my digital cameras memory stick (very handy for me).
Battery life is so so for a centrino, I get about 4 hours when I use power savings and about 3 if I dont. Also I duno whats up with those usb 2.0 ports, they dotn seem to feed enough juice to run my 30 gb 2.0 portable hard drive.
All things considered, with a 60 gb hard drive, a lot of software (sonic stage is awsome) and a lot of perks, this is a great notebook for the road worker or the casual game player.
