THIS PHONE FROZE TWO WEEKS AFTER I BOUGHT IT

by MARY on Jun 19th, 2009 at 10:51 AM:

User Score: 2.png I bought this phone and it was awkward to use. With very little use the battery ran down two times a day. I had to carry a charger with me. Then 15 days after the purchase it froze and had to be exchanged for a refurbished phone at my expense. The old phone had to be sent back at my expense as well. It could not be exchanged at the T-Mobile store that I bought it from. I will never buy this product or any other product from this company again.

Not as good as I thought

User Score: 6.png I had always wanted a sidekick and once I got this 2008 I thought it was the best phone ever, until I found out that you cannot bluetooth songs and add them as your ring tones, you cannot put pics as your background, you have to open it up to dial a number, unless you want to go through the trouble of trying to control that uncontrollable trackball. I think a touchscreen should be added with the new sidekick. Also I hate the fact that you can only download from the catalog and the prices are outrageous. I mean at least they can give us a break on the prices since we cannot download from anywhere else. The media player is fine and I have not had any big trouble with the internet but this phone is not as great as I thought. Honestly I think that T-mobile, as a whole, sucks.

Sidekick 2008

by Vevo on Feb 23rd, 2009 at 10:16 AM:

User Score: 6.png This is not the best phone. It gets very hot when you make a phone call and the batery life is horrible. The music player is okay, but drains the battery. The internet is actually somewhat fast and easy to use but the apps and such are very expensive. The texting is very nice with the full qwerty keypad. But the worst of all is that the phone constantly needs to reboot itself. It has a message that you must contact customer care, but customer care does nothing about it. I've been through five of these and they've done nothing to help me. Instant messaging is also very slow and drains the battery fast. The camera has horrible quailty and sometimes I never recieve picture messages.

Pros

Great for texting

Internet is fast

Music player

Cons

Camera and video quality is terrible

Constant rebooting

Slow IM

Expensive apps

Bad battery life

Constant freezing

Slow e-mail

Giant, screen is small.

Not what I expected...

by Mimi on Jan 14th, 2009 at 2:00 PM:

User Score: 6.png Even though I like some features, is not what I expected... You can't customize the songs you get through Bluetooth for your contacts or as ringtones. For that, you have to buy the songs. That's the same for pictures, you can't use them as background, you have to buy backgrounds as well...

Great for instant messaging, limited internet (no videos), and emails...

Its awesome

User Score: 8.png The Sidekick 2008 is the best Sidekick I have ever used...

Pros: it has a decent camera and not really bulky unlike the previous models.

Cons: the swiveling of screens is not as ''fierce'' as the previous models but other than that it rock so I recommend it
