Blackberry Bold won't ring

by Vincent Colfer on Oct 30th, 2009 at 1:15 PM:

User Score: 2.png Today I requested my fourth Blackberry Bold phone through the warranty department. It's a wonderful smartphone with only one major problem. It won't ring. AT&T won't give me a refund and I'm stuck with a two year contract. Please don't buy this phone without checking the forums and not just the initial reviews.

Bold is not reliable

by Katharine on Sep 21st, 2009 at 8:54 AM:

User Score: 4.png After switching from an IPHONE to a Bold; I couldn't hear incoming calls on the Chicago streets. Bold was clearer and I was pleased until 3 months later I lost audio for incoming calls. I caught a call only if I was looking at the screen! So my very nice sales office negotiated a switch which proceeded in a timely manner only to get a phone which reboots 3-5 times a day and must have the battery reinserted often to get it unlocked.

How have I managed so far without a Blackberry?!

by Sarah McAllister on Sep 18th, 2009 at 10:04 AM:

User Score: 10.png I am very rarely prompted to rave about products or write reviews but I have to say that the Blackberry Bold is the best phone I have ever had. The set up was the simplest of any other brand, ever. The email configuration was a breeze taking all of about 30 seconds to simply enter an address and password and no POP or SMTP details/ports and all that jazz...The PC sync was also the best ever (no random, will the PC find the phone - despite being connected by a USB cable - or won't it? Ah yes, at last, this time it FEELS like it!) Nope, instant, unproblematic, imported addresses in a flash - very impressed and very happy. It will really increase my productivity.

Bold? iphone?

by BoldChic on Jan 29th, 2009 at 2:47 PM:

User Score: 6.png The Bold is a nice phone but the bugs still need to be fixed. Crashes, wi-fi issues, texting issues, and slowness are only a few of the problems that many people are complaining about, and even i am experiencing. People have said that they do not experience ANY problems with their phone, but it should only be a matter of time before they do. They have fixed the construction problem, and newer Bolds are more durable and not so east to fall apart. The iphone is a toy that many business people do not want to be seen with. Texting area has a cool setup but types terrible and gets annoying after a few weeks. The iphone has a bad azz internet that no one has been able top and cool apps but that's it. The iphone would make a great gadget aside from it's communication uses. They should have made the iphone an igadget or itoy. It's a fun phone but useless to the business world and annoying in your everyday life. But let's face it, as soon as one new awesome piece of technology comes out, another greater piece of technology is soon to follow.

LOVING MY "BOLD"

by Page on Nov 24th, 2008 at 2:03 PM:

User Score: 10.png I've only had my Bold for about 3 days now but all I can say is that I Love It!! I've had the Pearl, the Curve and now The Bold and I can defintely say that this is the best Blackberry that RIM has produced. The multimedia capabilities are very nice and the display screen of the Bold is brilliant and the best that i've seen on any smartphone. Watching a movie or video is like watching HD. I'm still learning about it but I can say that I'm glad I have it :-)
