Memory upgrade
by Gary on Dec 15th, 2008 at 2:31 PM:
Bought my Wind from Best Buy, good choice, due to the fact I wanted the memory upgraded.
The geekys did the upgrade and the warranty stickers still in place. The only problem is after the memory upgrade the camera did'nt work, so it sat with Best Buy until they plugged it back in.
$349.00 plus $77.99 for one gig additional memory, not bad.
This machine could be a gamer machine with more memory on the video card, but screams with day to day applications.
I ran Nascar 2004 and it ran sluggish.
all in all a good sub-notebook.
Its just cool!

Got my Wind a few days ago and I simply love it! Everything that I've run so far is quick and crisp. And not to mention that its really light compared to standard notebooks. However, I do have only two complaints, I'm a typist so while the Wind doesn't conform to standard notebooks keypad layout, its sometimes a hassle for me with the left ctrl key, i'd rather have it at the left end than the Fn key. Still, other than that, everything is great!
So far so good!

I have had the "Wind" for a week and I absolutely love it. It is so light I tend to forget it is in my backpack. It runs everything I need in class flawlessly. Only down side is if you want to upgrade to 2 gigs of ram and install it yourself it voids your warranty.
