better then my last phone thats for sure!

I got my phone just before Christmas time, so I have had my phone for almost 9 months now. When I first got my phone the texting was a bit messed, it would put all the received messages before all of the sent, but after about a month it straightened itself out on its own. Also, about a few months after getting the phone every time I tried to look at the news or the weather it would say "uncaught exception". I thought it would fix itself out but it didn't so I called and spent about an hour on the phone and I got it all straightened out. What really impressed me about this phone was that two months after getting it I dropped it in the toilet and in less than 24 hours later it was back to working in perfect condition. I haven't had problems with this phone for about 6-7 months so I've been pretty impressed. It has a great battery and some pretty cool features. It is 1000x better than phones I have had in the past so I would recommend this phone, and I am overall content with it.

I bought the Instinct about 6 months ago and today was the first time I had a problem. I could not access the web browser. I called Sprint and it was corrected. Overall the phone is great. My only concerns are not having a flash for the camera. The screen is hard to see outside.
Battery life is amazing plus you have a back up battery that comes with the phone. Yes 2 batteries come with the phone.
Really hate this phone...

It's very attractive, but that's it. I've only had my Instinct for 3 months and I am ready to run over it with my vehicle.
Nice at first, but goes down hill rather quickly

I've had the Samsung Instinct for about 6 months now. And for about 3 of those months I loved my phone...let's say I would rate it a 4 out of 5. I heavily depended on the navigator feature, the camera shot good quality pictures when shown the screen (although not when forwarded to an email address). I like how it is organized, how you can see past texts like an IM and the ability to browse the internet.
However, right from the start the video never worked like Sprint promised, I wasn't able to hook up my favorite instant messenger, and I had to start a new text when writing over 160 characters.
But after a couple of months those small annoyances were left in the dust as the phone slowly deteriorated. It started with having to press the screen several times for the phone to know what I wanted to do. Then I had to press the touch screen to the left in order to hit the mark, then left and down, and now it depends on the application...internet is left and down, calculator is left, phone is up.
I am not pleased.
The internet became slower and slower, it is not even worth my time to use it anymore. And the navigation drains the battery, one trip is one battery.
A phone that doesn't even last a year (this one didn't even last 6 months!) is not worth my time, my money, and my continued business. I don't mind shelling out some cash for a good phone, but it has to be a good phone that lasts! I would rate this phone a 1.
