Bad battery performance and spoken address feature not working.

This product navigates good. The battery, that they claim will last 5 hours won't even last 2 hours. The best I get out of this battery is 1.50 hours. The spoken address feature is a joke. It is just not working. It can never get any address right. You will end up using the touch screen to set your destination.
Actual technical feedback beyond the sales hype and biased reviewers

The headline features are as described by the naive reviewers all wearing rose colored glasses.
Real issues:-
1. The "full" maps of USA and Europe are anything but that; they are abbreviated vector maps of roads only, no other spacial information is included. This means you can add a favorite for your current position just 10ft from the road. Then you try to navigate back there and the unit just says "no route found".
This is because you got ripped off with the "full" maps you thought you brought. I installed my old 'plus' maps from TomTom, which take up far more storage space (hint hint) and low and behold the "no route found" messages goes away. I use this supposed top of the range unit, I had to put my old maps back on, the same for the USA when I visit.
2. Traffic unit makes the unit crash. The problem with the real full maps is that there isn't enough memory for the traffic information receiver to work; the second you plug it in with the real full maps the system crashes. So if you want traffic and to be able to navigate to a parking lot, then this unit can not do it. Under the UK sale of goods act the sales description borders on the nefarious.
3. None of the voice recognition works, nor can it learn anything. You have traded full maps for all this other crap in memory you'll never use.
4. In about 1 year of use your polymer battery will die and you can't change it in the sealed unit. Tomtom plan to charge you a fortune for this service.
5. The box says free map updates for life, always the latest version. This is a patent lie. The 'free' thing is just user edits for the maps you got with your unit, for 1 year only. The map version in my unit is v7.10, where v7.20 is available at £39.99 on the website just for the UK version, the world maps cost far more, and no, they aren't even 'plus' versions that allow you to navigate up your driveway. That sounds like we got ripped off to me?
I'd strongly suggest looking at Garmin or some other professional company that isn't going to rip you off. Tomtom counts on 80% of purchasers being dumb to these issues, and they have ignored all my questions regarding the above patent deceptions and technical limitations.
