Fantastic TV

NO KIDDING, This is a FANTASTIC 65 inch 1080i HDTV that costs LESS THAN $1000.00! The picture quality is fantastic. Blacks are really black, there is no blurring of fast action, and it is detailed the color is perfect. I looked at flat panel plasmas and LCDs and at even at DLP projection TVs costing up to $5000. I read many reviews before I bought this TV a year ago for $1,200, which can be had now for less than a grand! This is a steal! Why? because everyone is being herded into paying a fortune for flat panels hung on the wall! I simply don't understand this. I don't live in a sports bar! Why does my TV have to be 4-6 feet off the floor? If you have a dedicated room for a large screen and you don't feel like wasting your cash, get this TV while you still can get a CRT based large screen projector TV. It has the brightest, fastest, most detailed picture you can get. I looked at 780p, 1080p, and 1080i screen TVs. I wanted a TV that was at least 55 inches. I found no picture quality increase from 1080i to 1080p. It won't require a new $300 light bulb in three years, it won't suffer from dead pixels, and it is faster than plasmas or a lcd. If you've got a room that you are going to dedicate to a home theater, get this TV. Whatever you do, don't hang any TV on the wall above your fireplace! Your neck will be strained from looking up all the time and your TV gets smoked every so often. We and friends watched hours of the Olympics on this using our Dish DVR and off the air the local HD NBC station. We also visited friends who have a nice new 50 inch plasma hanging above the fireplace, and they also watched our Hitachi. There was no question about it. The CRT Hitachi had the best picture. I decided that I never want a TV hanging high on a wall.
