Awesome phone!
by Enthuseduser on May 6th, 2008 at 5:10 PM:
I bought this phone recently directly from AT&T and I am more that satisfied with the features and its overall quality.
The phone is a little bulky, yes, but, for everything that is included (bluetooth,WiFi,GPS, etc.) I don't see how it could have been made into a smaller form factor. The call quality is the best I've heard in a while and it's painless to connect to your bluetooth and WiFi.
The only qualm I have with this phone is the fact that the battery life is not as good as I would want it to be. It only lasts about a day with vigorous use. But you have to remember that it is running windows mobile pro 6.1 with all of its bells and whistles.
Email is really easy to set up and use. So is the WMP that's built in.
All in all a great phone that I recommend to anyone looking for a smartphone!

AT&T Tilt 8925 Kaiser "Service Depends on your area". 3G phone yes, but NOT the service.
"Service Depends on your area". 3G (WCDMA, HSDPA) phone yes, but NOT the service!
"The service depends on the area your in", from AT&T reps, you'll get this. I've NEVER seen 3G speeds or anywhere close in the greater Seattle area. They refuse to file a Network Ticket. Phone is great, asides the data connection.
Have a Tilt? Try this. Browse to a site that has streaming video using AT&T's service. Then turn off the phone radio, and try this via WiFi. Unless your WiFi is slow as dialup, you will notice a huge difference (e.g. little to no chopping). FYI, I'm on a PDA plan. Well over 10 sites that steam videos, all the same. It's not the WEB, its AT&T that is slow!
One thing I've noticed is that you will very good CNN streaming video if you use a device through the MEdia Max, but not watching the same streaming video directly from CNN (not going through MEdia Max). I tested this with a RAZOR with MEdia Max next to my device. I wonder if AT&T is capping their capacity. My coworker recently bought the same phone and he is not also upset over the CRAPY 3G service from AT&T. I think I'll be switching over to T-mobile or Verizon (CDMA, eh) CONTRACT ends.
If you're somewhat technically inclined, you'll know that though your WiFi may be MUCH faster than any 3G service, streaming video from CNN Mobile, BBC, MSNBC, etc. does not require a HUGE pipeline. AT&T service doesn't even allow 100kb of streaming from outside of MEdia Max.
AT&T... Please STOP advertising your 3G on your PDA devices. Perhaps they are saving the bandwidth for Aircard users or those on full fledged data packages (e.g. isp.cingular.com).
Please TEST WHAT YOU PAY FOR & COMPLAIN to AT&T for FALSE advertising!
Anybody up for a class action?

Do not buy this phone from Wirefly. I exchanged three phones with them. You cannot understand the reps. Thank goodness I bought a warranty from AT&T and they gave me a good phone after 30 days.

Buggy phone--This phone hurts
by Jak Sanders on Nov 10th, 2008 at 9:50 AM:
All of our phones malfunctioned and ATT replaced each at least once. Two were replaced three times each. White screen of death, no car charging, dropped data calls, forgetting how to be a phone, are bugs familiar to us.
This awfull $450 phone is shamelessly supported by an absolutely clueless group of people whose sole purpose is to nickel and dime you, rather than resolve any issues.
Owning this phone hurts. I hate these suckers. I have lost far too much time with them over the past year.
