Philips DVD/CD writers

Philips DVD/CD writers have never been top of their class, but they are average for the most part. I went to Philips site and couldn't find the drivers either.
where is it?

I cannot find a driver for this philips dvd-rom player.
they have to be one of the worst for not providing drivers for their products.

Great Drive, Cheap, easy to use.
Abysmal driver support. Do yourself a favour, buy a drive from a company that actually provides drivers for the damn thing.

I found the drivers DVDRW228 DVD+RW

You can download the firmware update from www.p4c.philips.com
put in model DVDRW228
select model dvdrw228k/00 in the selections to the left. Hit enter, select software in the left and you will get to the page with the 4meg DL of the firmware. Hope this helps.
