An Excellent Player for Linux Users

by Steve Beschakis on Dec 10th, 2008 at 8:04 PM:

User Score: 10.png After modifying the firmware config to make the player's filesystem Linux-browseable (an easy tweak--see the web), and using Avidemux to transcode any format video for use n the P2, I'm very happy with this slick lil' player. Awesome design!

User Score: 10.png I think that that this MP3 ,also known as the P2, is the best Mp3 i have ever had. I think that it was awesome how it has blue tooth. I also think its nice because it has touch screen, it has very very good sound also.

User Score: 10.png I recently bought Samsung P2 8GB and this player rocks. Excellent touch screen combined with exceptionally brilliant sound and video quality. A best player from Samsung. Ipod touch doesn't even comes closer to what this thing can do. Good thing is that it's firmware called BLUEWAVE gets updated and adds new features.

I will highly recommend this player to those who are thinking of wasting their money on Ipods.

Good

User Score: 8.png I purchased the Samsung P2 in December and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The sound quality is awesome, the screen 3.5 inch screen's brilliant colors and crisp quality really impressed me and the slim sexy design is overall nice. Another great thing is that the Samsung P2 is quite sturdy, and doesn't at all feel like you're handling a toy. Some down-falls to the device are that the screen and glossy front, like most other touch screens, are a smudge and scratch MAGNET, so I highly suggest some sort of a screen protector. Another thing that really disappointed me was that there aren't any games included on it, unlike the iPod touch which includes a tone of them. Another disappointment was the unenclosed Wi-Fi, but the Bluetooth is still pretty cool. Overall, the Samsung P2 is a nifty machine, and if you're looking for an inexpensive solution to the iPod touch, then I highly recommend it.
