W580i

This phone is been the worst I have ever had, it broke the 1st day I got it because it wouldn't turn on after I charged it. I took it back to the shop and they wouldn't let me take it back
Poor Quality
by JASON MEEKHOF on Mar 31st, 2008 at 4:43 PM:
I have the 580I and it's the worst phone I have ever owned. Had it for 5 months and I am about to send it in for the 3rd time to get it fixed. Every time I send it in, I have to pay shipping ($14) and it takes 3 weeks at lease. I have hardly even been able to use this phone so far! I have talked to Sony management and the "best he could do" is have me send it in AGAIN (this is the same day I received it from being fixed, improperly) for another $14 and he would send back a replacement (finally) so here we go...another 3 weeks using one of my old (and still working after many years) Motorola phones. I would NEVER buy Sony Ericsson again.
Small buttons

I really like this phone. The white and orange looks very sleek. It's great that it is fairly small though I could see how some people wouldn't like the small buttons. Music plays nicely and it came with all the features I felt I needed.
My 3 week old W580i died
by Bob Bobbobman on Nov 20th, 2007 at 4:42 PM:
The features and design are sweet. Problem is mine died 3 weeks out of the box; I never damaged it, just turned it off one day and was never able to turn it back on again. Sony is replacing but I have to pay to ship it to them to replace a brand new flawed phone. Google the phrase "w580i won't turn on"...many others have had this problem so it's an inherent flaw of the phone. I wouldn't choose this same phone again. I'll be without a phone for weeks waiting for the new one, paying for my service while I can't use it. My girlfriend had a similar problem with her Sony Ericsson phone (different model) and sent it in; they replaced it with one on which the camera constantly activates itself and shoots pictures like a machine gun until the memory is full. I won't buy a Sony phone again.
