Has everything you need for ink jet
by Mariann on Aug 26th, 2007 at 9:55 AM:
1) Color Ink jet (used for color printing, faxs and copies)
2) B/W Laser printer (used for duplexing and fast printing)
3) Photo printer (just for photos)
This baby has it all:
1) duplexing (two-sided printing and copying)
2) automatic document feeder so you don't have to scan or copy 1 page at a time
3) a very unique paper tray that holds regular paper (or other paper sources) AND an inset tray for 4x6 photo stock. To print photos, you only have to push in the small 4x6 photo tray, and you're ready to print photos. You can also print directly from your camera (some cameras) or insert your media card (certain types).
4) The ink for this printer is the cheapest you can buy for any ink jet at $9.99 (black) and $14.99 (color). The color ink has 5 colors.
5) You can fax, print, copy, scan, share photos, preview photos before printing, and so much more.
This is an amazing machine, reasonably priced between $260-299. It prints sharp colors and B/W. It's only weak points are the following:
a) Slow duplex (two-sided) printing
b) Print jobs spray out paper everywhere because there's no holding tray for paper as it comes out of the printer. Because my printer is placed in a desk cubby hole, the printer faces out and has no desk space in front. Therefore, my papers end up on the floor and get rather jumbled up. This may not be a problem if someone else places this printer on a desk with plenty of room in front of it to catch the papers as they print out. For me, it's a bit inconvenient, and I wish Kodak would add a paper catcher to this printer.
