User Review
by Leigh on Aug 26th, 2007 at 9:55 AM:
I bought one router and three phones, and am very happy with the service. I use a non-T-mobile D-Link router at work which connects perfectly. At home I use the Linksys supplied by T-Mobile and the dropped calls when I first installed the router were caused by its position - and once I moved the router around (in the basement), I don't think I have had any problems.
I called T-mobile tech support when I first started and had a long chat with a very nice and helpful techie - quite reassuring.
At Starbucks, the phone picks up the carrier immediately.
All in all, a great experience.

T-Mobile Hotspot@Home problems
by Les Persicke on Jan 11th, 2008 at 11:12 PM:
Calls will drop after getting the dreaded beep of death in as little as 15-30 seconds. The hotspot indicator is lost on the phone and usually a soft reboot (removing the battery) is the only way to reconnect. Now Tmoile has just replaced one of the Nokias with the Samsung T409. It appears to work a bit better, however the jury is still out.
My recommendation at this point is to pass on this technology, especially if it is your only phone.
