Nice Machine, Upgrades a Must
by Larry on Feb 4th, 2009 at 8:21 PM:
For most PC users this is a decent machine, looks nice and runs quietly. Gamers will definitely need to upgrade the video card--I went inexpensive and got a Nvidia 8400 GS, ($69) and easy to self install, made all the difference in the world. You will however also need to upgrade the power source to at least 450 watts or risk blowing out the power source and the card. Unless you like a lot of wires have a pro put in the power source, scary to look at--lol Overall not a bad machine for the money. Oh, and my memory card reader never worked..
Not so good motherboard

This is a great system I have ever used. But I'm also unhappy with the motherboad going out after 14 months of use. HP would not help with the warranty and now i'm forced to buy another computer system. This time it wont be an HP PC.
Very good for the price, upgrades required
by Dan on Dec 5th, 2008 at 8:32 AM:
I absolutely love this PC (using it right now) lots of power and such, runs anything I want without delay, but a videocard upgrade is a must. also, be carefull of the 250W power supply, they dont make videocards under a miniumum requirement of 300W anymore, and most require near 500W for decent performance. Vista is somewhat unpleasant, but theyve been patching it up a bit lately.
Mother board blew after 12 months

Good computer mostly. Everything runs great except the motherboard died. Pretty expensive for 12 months use!
