Felt slower than 2.33GHz MBP
by Tobe on Aug 2nd, 2007 at 10:09 PM:
I am working with a 2.4GHz 4GB MBP with an external display and I can say it feels slower than the 2.33GHz ATI based one. I guess this is due to the bad Nvidia drivers. I kind of regret switching. CPU is obviously a bit faster.
It is still an awesome product, just not necessary to switch from a 2.33 one if one doesnt need the additional 1G RAM.
Battery life is also not better, if so then maybe 10 minutes more.
Solid quality. A smart purchase.

This was my first jump to Apple. I love it and can't understand why Microsoft still holds so much marketshare.
Having used all sorts of laptops, I give this one a strong 9.5.
It is flawless except the touch pad can be tempermental if you are touching the keyboard while it is in use. Also, the light sensor frequently kicks in at the wrong time (like when you hand creates a shadow in the wrong place.) None of them are big issues. I see this laptop lasting me a solid 5 years. I love it.
If Apple would just lower their prices then they could dominate the market. Jump in now kids, cause this stock is going up!

I just bought my iMac Intel core duo last year and last month I decided to buy this machine which I am very impressed with. The speed on rendering video is like 50% more faster than my iMac and everything must work perfect on this machine. I highly recommend this 15 inch MBP with 2.4ghz and a 4GB of ram.
Great Review

I ordered my custom MBP 2 days ago. I am getting fully maxed out. I didn't even know half the upgrades in this review before I ordered it so now I am feeling much better about my purchase then I was before! (If that is possible as i was bloody excited!)
