crapola

This thing gets so hot, I could fry eggs on it. Even at 2 gigs ram it renders slowly. I kept loosing the preview handler. Finally got fed up with Vista, stripped the HD and loaded XP. I removed everything that wasn't essential to basic computing. Still hot. Removed the case, still hot. Added a fan, then another, HD gets to 50c in a flash. Aimed a house fan at it, that helped. I ended up parting it out and using the case as a bookend. CRAPOLA BABY !!! If you do heavy graphics and 3d, avoid this machine like the plague.
Sleek Design

I bought this computer in August 2007, and at first, I was quite excited about getting a new computer for the first time in four years. I thought I got my money's worth until the fan that keeps the system cool would turn on every 10 seconds or so when I visited certain websites, played my favorite CD ROM games or watched DVD's. Sure programs generate a lot of heat, but what gives the computer the right to come on and scare you with its loud noise? If your able to tolerate a computer that scares you with a loud fan when you visit certain websites or play CD ROM games, have fun, but if you're not, do not waste your money on this piece of junk. No computer built should have a fan that comes on and scares you when you don't expect it to.
The only things I like about the computer are its picture clarity and sleek design. This summer, this computer's going in the garbage!
Good for the price

I bought one of these from a CompUSA auction for $260 plus shipping. Great buy as long as you're willing to do some upgrades. I dumped 2 GB of Corsair Valueselect in it for $45 and a Sapphire PCI Express 256 MB low profile video card in it and its better than ever. Current Vista scores are 5.1 Memory, 5.8 Drive, and 3.5 Aero, 4.4 gaming and graphics, 4.8 on processor. Overall the rig cost me less than $400 and could not be happier with it. Still in shock the 160 watt power supply can handle the video card (although I did unplug the card reader to free up a few watts).
Wasted my money on temp computer!

I thought it was a great deal and was never told that the power supply was going to go within a year of purchase or I would have bought an extended warranty. The power supply replacement alone is $375!!! I now have a dead computer and it will cost me more to fix it then it did for me to buy it brand new! Do NOT buy this computer as no repair shops will touch it. The power supply is the first thing to go and will go fast if you use the computer more than twice a month!!!!
