Very good phone
by Pschemko on Jun 18th, 2009 at 3:35 PM:
I have had this phone for 2.5 years and I have to admit it is maybe not the best looking, but fells and grips in hand very well. Sound quality is really good, especially after updating to the latest firmware (kinda old as it is 05.05.08). The only issue I had with this phone was batteries - they died and I had to buy new ones - that's all. What's more important is that my parents are able to use it (it is really simple).
Internal speaker failed
by Luigi on Oct 12th, 2008 at 3:48 PM:
I have owned this phone for about one year with a supplemental handset for 6 months. In the last 4 months I have had serious problems with internal speakers. Both phones had sequential dis functions of the internal speakers until they did not work at all (no sound on incoming calls). Very frustrating. I see that Plasma had the same problem. Any suggestion? The customer care of this phone does not exist........
Bad product!!!!!!!!
No Ring

My 3088 has been fine for over two years until the internal loud speaker failed, my phone at some point previously installed a 245 firmware, however the latest listed firmware is now 233 ... i assume they over cooked the volume settings in the firmware and as a result it killed my speaker :( will try and solder in a new one. Altough the lack of text support may make me bin it and get the Philips 321 which is half the price.
Needs replaced too often

In the course of one year, I've had 3 dual phones 3088. The 1st in March 07 worked erratically for a few months - the base unit wouldn't connect when the router (US Robotics) was switched on. Got a replacement - worked for a week and the base unit stopped working. Got another replacement; perfect for 2 months and I thought - 3rd time lucky - but no, is on the blink as well.
When it worked, it was excellent.
Can somebody advise? Anyone else with a similar experience?
