Good as hand frees phone - terrible as stereo headset

I have a Samsung i730 and also a Motorola Q 9m. The Plantronics 260 is a great device as a "Hand Free Phone" headset only. However, it falls horribly short as a "Stereo Headset" as the sound quality is terrible. The setup was very easy; connectivity to both phones was consistent with well charged unit. As soon as the batteries get weak, forget it as it would lose calls and users on the other end could not hear me talking. Last but not least, the ear bud wires were less than desirable as they tangled easily and were cumbersome.

5% total harmonic distortion and you will notice it. I've tried 2 units so far, both are noisy for music listening.
Not so good

Sorry I am unhappy with this product and I've returned it. I had noise in my headset and the coverage radius was smaller then 3 meters in my case. Not impressed at all.
Great Sound that is weightless

I have purchase many mono and stereo headsets since the Bluetooth innovation came out and my Pulsar 260 beats them all. Between my Jabra BT620s and the Pulsar I find myself enjoying the Pulsar on a regular basic. The only negative I've found on the 260 are the ear plug cords, they are uneven and I find it hard to tuck them away for that true Bluetooth wireless look.

Good Handsfree for driving

I normally clip the receiver on my shirt pocket, and while I appreciate the long length of the cord, it could be a little more flexible like my Ipod headphones, so I could wind up the excess cable and slip it into my pocket without it trying to unwind.
The only thing that bothers me is the mute function which is activated by the push button in the middle of the control which functions as the mute/play/pause control. When the mute button is active, there is a soft beep every minute, but if you are not paying attention, its easy to miss. I've answered the headset to receive calls, but have been unable to hear anything - realizing too late that the mute button had been pressed accidently, then suddenly fishing around for the receiver in my pocket to find the mute button and deactivate it.
The Ipod avoids this problem by putting a sliding hold button away from the main controls, and I would be happier if Plantronics found a way to manage the mute function in a similar way.
Other than that, I am happy with this unit and give it a 4/5.
