Dead after 16 monthsBlack Screen - $600 to Fix

I should have purchased the extended warranty. Best Buy wanted almost $600 to replace the motherboard. Decided it was not worth fixing.

Pathetic - my second one of these - first one only lasted 3 weeks, the second 13 months and 4 days. Both went the same way - sound but no picture.
I'm giving up on samsung.

Bought this model for my parents for Christmas 06. In January 07 it has stopped working going completely blank on them. I bought this set for them because I am the host of a TV show which features products and services. Guess we will not recommend this one on the show!
Gone bad

I have had this model for little over a year, was working great. A week ago a grayish image started to show up on the right side, from top to bottom. It looks like where the 4:3 screen ends, bought it from "CompUSA" 3yr extended warranty. They bailed out on their warranty. Buy with caution.
