After reviewing almost every 42 inch plasma in the under $ 2000.00 range, the Samsung was the best overall choice. After setup in my home every aspect of the system performed better than at the showroom. In a home environment the 42 inch Samsung out performs picture quality wise better than all of my friends bigger and better systems. Since all of my audio output is driven through home stereo, the audio performance question isn't of primary concern, however, some of my "football" buddies were convinced that the surround sound system was on while watching the game Sunday, it wasn't. This HDTV monitor's performance exceeds every expectation created at the showroom, well done Samsung......
