Beautiful screen

by Arthur Holt on Aug 21st, 2007 at 7:57 AM:

The phone has a gorgeous screen and has a great feel. I added the extended battery which came with a new cover/door, and is still fairly slim compared to other extended batteries I've had for other phones. And the extra weight of the ext. battery makes the phone feel even more solid, while still maintaining its overall sleek feel and look. I love this phone and advise everyone to get this ext. battery.

When this phone came out I thought it would be as good as some of Samsung's other phones: Wrong!

First off, the battery life is pitiful and it gets worse the older the phone gets. Better invest in a car charger, you will need one! Paint is coming off in spots and the reception is horrible. My wife has a RAZR V3 from Sprint and signal strength on her phone is double the A900's even when standing side-by-side!

Just the other day my front LCD went blank! The phone will not receive signals from some other towers when on roam.

If you do decide to buy this phone, be sure and get insurance on it. It will be well worth the money in the long run. It cannot connect to other phones via Bluetooth, there seems to be problems with this feature too. If you want to have the rotating camera and great display, then this is your phone.

Not a very good phone

Seems like this phone was made in a hurry. Battery life is horrible. Needs to be charged almost every day, even if it is not used. Paint is coming off after only 8 months of normal use. Bought two phones and the paint problem is happening on both of the phones at exactly the same place.

The phone is awesome but my biggest problem is that when I'm surfing the Internet, it shuts off or restarts for no reason. It's a pain because I'll be in the middle of a conversation on Yahoo IM and it cuts out and I loose my conversation. Also, the battery life is horrible and the headphone volume is pretty low. You can't hear music unless you press the earphones into your ear, but it looks stupid when you are walking around Los Angeles like that.

This phone is almsot perfect...

To start with I'd like to point out that the reviewer claims there is a problem with appearing upside down in a self portrait, but this is actually controlled using the volume up/down button while in camera mode to flip the orientation of the camera depending on wich way it is facing. The only problem I can think of for this phone is the lack of an SD card slot. The keys light up well enough to see clearly, although not as bright as a RAZR, still very effective for me. All considered this is an extremely classy phone in a very small package.
