Very comfortable, great bass & mid

Typical Sennheiser's, very comfy, I could wear it for hours with no red ears at all. In a matter of fact, after a few minutes, I could barely tell I was wearing them. For sound quality I think hd435 is quite good, has warm sound characteristic, good bass & mid. Doesn't have very detailed sound though (if compared to the more expensive one, like hd595 for ex). If you like jazz, pop, or soft rock music, this baby will fit you alright. Easy to drive without an amp. Great choice for under $100 cans.
Impressed thus far

Last evening my Sennheiser PMX60 broke where the neckband connects to the earpiece. I wanted to get a set of headphones that would deliver a better bass than my previous pair. So I did some reading of reviews (including this one) and purchased the HD435.
So far I am very impressed. I am using my Pioneer Inno as a source and am enjoying the sound quality that the headphones are delivering. If you are into bands that play heavy rock, pop, classic rock or even classical the HD435 will not disappoint.
Good value - comfortable

low end

The song I always use for the final impression is "Crystal curfew" by Tangerine Dream - electronic music. When I put the headphones on I want to be able to say "Yes, now I hear music; it's there and it's full". Unfortunately HD435 did not make it happen.
