Great on functions but too fragile.
by Kim T on Oct 31st, 2007 at 10:21 AM:
I'm in the process of buying this camera again, as I absolutely love the functions, the ease of use, the size and style, the 30fps video capture, being able to zoom and take photos while videoing.
But I am aware that it is very fragile compared to other cameras. Everything people have said about turning itself on accidentally and getting the lens jammed is true - as it is what happened to my original EX S600. But I'm willing to risk it, hoping I can take better care of it this time.
one of the worst consumer decisions

I went through 4 of these models in two months. I felt as if I was robbed. I had the same problems with the lens in all cases. And was also refused a refund!
Sent to warranty 2 times, no buy!

I just received my EX-S600 back from warranty, because my lens got stuck out, and then once I got it back in, my camera would no longer turn on. Now, I took two pictures and my battery turns incredibly hot, and it heats my camera to a temperature, where I can not even hold it. Now my camera does not turn on again! BAD CAMERA!!!!
The damn thing doesn't work

Power ON/OFF button doesn't work and battery will not hold a charge.
