I LOVE IT!
by Nicole on Sep 23rd, 2007 at 9:46 PM:
I can not believe all these horrible reviews of the Motorola Q. I had mine for 3 months and I love it!!! I love the key pad; I am a huge texter and can't stand the 3 letters to a number crap. In addition, I HATE flip phones! Plus, I wanted a phone that would hold a ton of songs so I got a bigger mini SD and I can store so much stuff on my phone-instead of spending more money on a dang iPod or MP3 player. I love this phone, but then again, I came to this phone after having a horrible crappy phone that ALWAYS dropped my calls, had the worst reception in the whole damn world, and it was a flip phone with the 3 letters to a number-which drove me insane. Also, a person above said the phone was "resetting itself". Unless the phone is broken, it does NOT reset itself. The only time mine has ever done that was 7 days after I first got my phone, and that was only because I was stupid and fooling around and trying to find out what everything was doing without reading the manual. Also, the "resetting option" is really neat, because if you get a virus or something, it completely wipes it out, so those people need to get a clue and realize that a phone is NOT COMPLETELY a computer, it is a darn phone for crying out loud. I would recommend this phone to anyone, I love it! Also, my call rings really loud, so loud that I can hear it when I am on the other end of my house (and I have a pretty big home). I am super happy with my phone-buy one!
It causes my husband stress
by Yvette Sutton on Sep 14th, 2007 at 1:16 PM:
My husband left for work stressed out again because this product (system, phone, whatever it is supposed to be) has reset itself for the second time and he has lost all of his "contacts" AGAIN. He conducts 50% of his business by phone. I told him to have a nice day and kissed him good-bye. I hope he kisses this Motorola Q good-bye and gets something more reliable.
Terrible phone - Nothing smart about it!

I have had 4 Motorola Qs in the past 5 months and I am not impressed at all.
Problems include:
Phone does not synch properly
Phone resets itself
Counterintuitive software
Unreliable in making and receiving calls (good at not ringing but telling me I've missed calls!)
Bad applications that don't function well or even look good e.g. Can they really get away with calling that a calculator?!
The applications stay running in the background but you can't even cycle through them. Furthermore you can't exit unless you go out of your way to kill them - That's just lazy and bad programming.
No cut n paste functionality.
Etc. etc. the list goes on and on.
I cannot think of a good thing about this phone that stands out from any other. Oh it's thin, but it is also wide!
Poor battery life - however when you use the long-life battery you don't have to charge it every night (like a normal phone), but hey, now it's both fat and wide!
NO WAY is it a 10! I give the Q a 1

I cannot understand people who think this phone is "amazing"!
So many problems with the Q, it's awful!
Bad synching, slow slow slow interface. Ropey, counterintuitive applications, random resets, random shutdowns, the list goes on and on!
I can only imagine someone has a vested interest to rate this phone a 10.
