Average results from a pricey cam

I have to say I wasn't happy at all with this camera. I achieved only average results both indoors and outdoors. I don't understand why generally the user reviews for this camera are bad but the official reviews are good?! What's that about?! I bought the Casio S600. Much better camera...quicker, better quality pics, better batter, and a much more solid camera. Don't get me wrong..the Sony T9 has a great LCD..the pity is that the pictures taken don't match!!
Very impressed

I bought this just a couple weeks ago, and having previously had the DSC-T1 and a Canon SD-400, I think this camera is superb. The "last time to buy sony" dude is bs-ing, when I shake the camera or take a pic of someone waving hi to me, it takes a perfectly clear picture with its optical image stabilization. The camera is great.
What are you getting this for?

If you want one fo the smallest carry anywhere type digital cameras available then this is one to consider. It takes great pictures for its size, especially under good lighting conditions. It also has one of the better close-up capabilites I've seen in consumer level digitals. If you want DSLR night capabilities, however, then look elsewhere.
Last time to buy sony

I had expected a lot more of this camera!! The pictures taken outside in daylight are really good but the pictures you take in a darker environment are totally crap! I compared the picture quality with my old cannon Ixus I (4MP) and they are a lot better!
And also; Sony says this cam has a steady shot feature, well the slightest movement of the camera makes the picture totally blurry! My cannon was a lot better. I’m very disappointed in Sony!
