Printer locks up or "freezes"

Per the HP web site, large capacity flash memory cards can cause the printer to appear to lock up as it is attempting to read the memory card. You have to wait until the 'read' light stops flashing. The site seems to indicate that memory cards over 128 mb are considered 'large'. I am using a one gig card which would be 8x's that size. Since the wait time, if that is what is happening, is unacceptable to me, it looks like I will be returning this printer and looking for something with a little more uumph.
I'm keeping the score of 7 since the print quality seems fine on already-good-pics and may fit your needs.
