Problem with DualCore
by Mark B on Mar 27th, 2006 at 1:07 PM:
Just got my XPS 600, when it works its a great computer, however right out of the box I had problems with the Pentium D 3.0Ghz seems at idle one side is staying spiked at 100% and staying there. I can't figure out what it is and when i called dell they told me the havent had any problems with this dualcore set up and havent heard of my problem.
This thing is a beast

Here are my specs:
Pentium D at 3.0 GHz
Dual 7800GTX cards
500 GB RAID 0 Config (2x250 SATA)
20" UltraSharp Display
16x DVD+RW, 48x CR-RW
13 in 1 media reader/floppy drive
Creative Xi-fi Sound Card
I set this thing up in just a few minutes, installed F.E.A.R. and got playing. It is truly an amazing machine, it plays all of my games on the top settings, huge and fast hard drive space and a good screen to top it all off. Definitely reccomend.
Nice bit of kit

I have one with dual gtx7800 cards and am well chuffed! Mind you I should be because I spent an arm and a leg on it!I've had it for about a month now and haven't had any problems. Despite the numerous fans in there the pc is so so quiet!
