Reliable

by Katie on Jul 11th, 2008 at 10:57 AM:

I've had the PEBL for about a year, until I jumped into the pool with it in my hand =/ Well up until that point it was a very reliable phone. Calls never failed, and I dropped it almost daily (it still looks new). The best part was the way it opened, because people could never figure it out. I miss my phone already. It was good for texting and calling which is basically all I need in a phone. Camera quality wasn't great though and the screen often shuttered and was delayed, but again, I dropped it almost daily.

Decent Phone

I've had my PEBL for a year and three months now and it still works fine. I've never had to take it in for any repairs and I've even dropped it pretty well on a few occasions. It's only frozen up maybe 2-3 times, which is pretty standard. Opening the phone is not difficult once you get the hang of it and you get plenty of compliments on its sleek design. My only complaint is the battery life is starting to get ridiculously short these days.

I use my cell phones for calling and texting on a constant basis and if that's the only thing I have to complain about after over a year than I think it's doing pretty well.

PEBL is great

Charles must be a destroyer because my Pebl that I have had for over a year looks great. Nothing wrong with it; Always reliable, this is a great device.

Bad recording

by Sara on Nov 14th, 2007 at 10:28 AM:

The recording on this phone is terrible. All the other phones are great at recording but this one you can't hear. I love the phone but the pictures are also bad - it is like an old camera and you have to wait for like 3 seconds so the picture is not blurry.

Ages very badly

I've had the PEBL for about a year and it looks like crap. The smooth finish it sports when you buy it goes downhill in about three or four months; it can be scratched by rubs, scrapes, and maybe even dirty looks. The keypad is almost too dim to see in all but the faintest of light, and fingerprints and smudges are so easily left that you'll want to carry a bottle of Windex around. Also, the speaker phone is too hard to hear while driving. Although the sound quality is good, and the "T9" text entry system is smart for text messaging, for the $200 I spent for the PEBL, I'm disappointed. This should have been priced at closer to $89. For $200 it should have been made with polished stone to make it last. Stay away, stay away, there are better phones for less.
