I've had my share of problems...

I've had many issues with the S50 and most recently the signal comes and goes when it wants to. Some days it will be fine, others it won't pick up at all. After calling the support line, they gave me a bunch of BS about there was nothing they could do and it sounds like the docking station may have gone bad. What I can say that IMMEDIATELY fixed my problems was I did a master reset on the unit and PRESTO it actually works without incident. Very strange, it was almost as if it needed a fresh start like some buffer was all used up and wouldn't work. In any event, if you're having these sorts of problems, I would suggest this. When the radio works, it is a nice piece of gear, particularly with the sports ticker on the bottom.

I love my S50.
I've had it for 11 months. I only lose reception under certain overpasses and a few spots on road trips. It just switches to stored content. With my current 486 songs and 2 hours of shows I'm pretty set. I love that I don't have to download anything to records songs. Just listen to hundreds of channels and hit one button when I like a song. No remembering names of songs and running searches, paying per song, downloading, etc.
I had 1 problem with reception when I moved to a new town and I just called in and they sent a reset signal (like the cable company does when your cable box flakes out) and I turned to the emergency channel to receive the reset.
All clear after 2 minutes.
S50 continued problems

This will be the third replacement I have received from Sirius. Customer care is not very helpful either. The unit will work fine for a few weeks and then eventullay loses signsl for good. There is something very wrong with theis unit. No one who works for Sirius will actually acknowledge that though.
S50 Problems

Bought this in Dec of 06 - looked up and after 2 hours on hold was able to have a new one sent out to me. The new one turns off everytime I shut the car off - I have to unplug the adapter whenever I turn the car off - what a piece of crap. I lose signals all the time and now I can't add anything to my favorite channels - big mistake - should have bought the Starmate...
