Update on my machine

by Clint W Hooper on Jan 23rd, 2008 at 9:37 AM:

A+ for a 2 1/2 year old machine with 180 bucks in upgrades running some of the most demanding games out there.

T6410 120 gb Maxtor HD

This computer is great. I added a Gigabit RAM and it needed a new hard drive so I put in Maxtor 120 with the Gig of Ram. Email, surfing, and browsing is great on this computer and I only paid $600 in 2005 at Best Buy.

Best thing I've done with my money

I bought this machine (with a kit, monitor printer etc) for about 650 after rebates (which I got) Aug 05. I've upgraded it to a gig ram, it now has a second 160 gigabyte HD from a fellow Celeron E-machine (piece) and an ati radon 1600 512 Meg pci express video card. Its running never winter nights 2 at this time (Oct. 07) and all it has ever done is burn up the stock power supply (not quite its own fault) This machine is not something I would buy for that price NOW but keep an eye out for an old one if you need a gaming rig for about 250-300 dollars, just buy it, the ram upgrade, and the video card, and the benchmarks I ran put it higher than several brand new ones that cost 1000 dollars or more.

Great deal

I've had this computer for over a year now, and it has been a great machine. Only had to reinstall Windows once, due to a little too many installations on my part. Runs a little hot, and more RAM is advisable, but not necessary. Overall, this is a great computer for the price.

Great Machine

This machine is really great for anyone who does simple computing (email, chatting, etc.) I has a pleasing design, futuristic color scheme, and is easily upgradable. From personal experience, and from reviews read online, it's very simple to turn this thing into a great gaming rig; just add a good video card. Also, I suggest adding 512MB RAM to the existing 515MB RAM for a super quick machine, regardless if you are gaming on it or not (find some at newegg.com). People always told me e-Machines were not good, but I'd recommend it to anyone. This thing is approaching it's second year with me, and I'm adding parts to keep it going for many more. Heck, the mother board on my first computer went out after 2-3 weeks. This one is still ticking with no major problems. I can't give it any less than 10 because I love it!
