Great for the price but lacking

This system sounds great! However, it has one major drawback. Audio is delayed. All my audio runs directly from input device to receiver and video has been run to receiver first then t.v. and also tested with video bypassing receiver. In both scenarios you can notice a slight delay in the motion of people talking and the actual words vocalized from the onkyo HT-R530. If you run audio to t.v. and sound it creates a wild bathroom or cave like echo because of the delay between the t.v. audio and the onkyo audio. The 800 series receivers have a audio delay function you can adjust, but the 801 receiver is currently running $900 compared to the $474 price of the HT-S780 with the HT-R530 receiver. For the price, mute the t.v. and you will get used to the delay! This system really does rock the house!
