I love this TV

When reading the only posted review I thought some redemption was necessary. I have had this TV now for over a year. I paid thousands more than you can get it for now and I don't regret it. Contrary to the other review I get an acceptable picture with a regular TV signal. HDTV, DVD and Replay TV pictures are excellent. This plasma shines with HDTV and 480p signals. Now that it can be bought for less than $5K it is a steal.

Std. tv pictures are terrible, hdtv good

Should have read the warrenty alot closer. Why would they mention not cover picture problems unless they knew there was a problem!! Standard Digital tv signals look worse than anything a coventional tv set could ever do. Artifacts,as they call them, are so bad that at times you can't make out what you are looking at. Also, this is designed for high definition but, the pip option will not work in high definition. On the bright side DVD's played in 480p and HDTV channels are great. Sad that all programing isn't in those formats. Always have all formats that you will be watching demonstrated before buying this or any Plasma tv.
