Can now listen to XM anywhere!

by Icky on Jan 1st, 2006 at 12:09 PM:

I love my Pioneer Airware XM2go! I find myself using it constantly throughout the day, whether it be transmitting to my shower radio, in my Jeep, at the office, at the gym, or in my home. The portability was a major selling point as I wanted to be able to listen to XM anywhere, not just in my Jeep or home. The pre-recording feature is awesome for those times that there is no signal, and being able to skip from song to song is great! I'm extremely satisfied and I'm glad I hadn't purchased any other receiver.

Very disapointed with antenna....

The built-in antenna strenght to me seemed very poor. Cannot use it in the house or car without extra antenna's and docking stations. Pain in the .... Navigating with the tiny scroll button on the side is no fun either. Everything else seems to work ok though.

Tough Call even for an XM Junkie

I have been torn between an MP3 player and XM2Go. I purchased the Airware and since I use it almost entirely as a portable the size of the unit is not much of a concern. The reception is as good as my Roady 2 either in the car or my office. My biggest disappointment is in the recording and the handling of the music.

Being tied to your home docking station to do a scheduled recording is really a problem when you are traveling. Also, the fact that when you record using the XM2Go button you record just what you hear. Weak signal it is committed to memory partial song too bad, and all the little XM "commercial breaks". There is absolutely no editing the playlist, just wish I could delete poorly recorded songs maybe even a little manipulation of the playlist. I was hoping that the recording might be more like the Time Trax equipment.

Oh well. I guess you can"t have it all. I am certain there are draw backs to the MP3 path as well.

Still LOVE XM!

Way too bulky

Way too bulky for me to use as a portable audio player. Cool concept, poor execution IMO.
