Sound went bad

Since this was purchased new, I have definitely been able to find all the mini-marts and stores that have radar at their front door, and it has even worked with real police radar. However, now the sound has gone terribly bad. This unit is programmed with voice alert that says the radar band alerted along with other prompts. Either the speaker has blown or the circuitry has gone bad - it sounds like a distorted buzz-voice underwater - and is completely incomprehensible.

Way better than others except Escort

Doing great job for me, I used it in USA and now I'm at Dubai UAE and saved me lots of money from speeding tickets, but I want to add that when the cop car is coming from behind it's not good as escort as coverage.

good buy

This radar detector has saved me multiple times.. Most detectors on the market will have false alarms & none of them are fool proof.. If your looking for a cheap radar with decent detection then buy it.. If your looking for something way better then be prepared to shell out $300 or more.

Way too many false alarms

It tells me theres an emergency vehicle alot and I never seen any. I get lots of K and Ka false alarms. It does pick up police fairly well. If your looking to buy a decent radar go for the passport 8500 x50 or V1

It sucks

Please do not buy such Radar detectors, Cobra is not a good detector at all, but because stores get more money by selling them, they would tell you they are the best, which is not true, other detectors that are even cheaper work a lot better. If you are going to buy a Radar Detector please do some research before buying it, there is a forum where people would gladly help you out in anything you need to know, look on the web for radar detetor forum (I don't know if I can put the website here but it is radardetector.net). Good luck
