fe2111sb is a great CRT monitor

by PABLO SANCHEZ on May 2nd, 2007 at 8:00 AM:

I've got a used fe2111sb, manufacture date Dec,2005, very good image quality at 1600x1200 85 hz vertical refresh, main use with games and desktop publishing. Very surprised with price, only 120 euro. The power switch failed 1 month ago, not a broken part, only misplaced probably by previous bad operation, repaired by technician (50 euro).

Almost (but not quite) perfect...

I've been working with the FE2111SB for about a year now, and have very few complaints with it. My one main gripe is the two thin horizontal lines that seperate the monitor screen into thirds. As a mechanical engineer that needs to reveiw and create drawings on a plain background, these lines stand out and detract from the overall picture. When I purchased the monitor, I read about the lines, but people seemed to say that they would "fade into the background". While that may be true for things like web surfing or games (where there's more variety on the screen), on plain backgrounds, the lines are never "completely gone".

This has been a stellar monitor for me otherwise.

One of the best quality moniters

The FE2111sb is a huge moniter and it is lighter than most others (only 64 pounds compared to most others that are 74 or 70) and it offers image quality way better than LCDs cause the contrast and brightness ratio is so high 3000~3500:1 contrast ratio for most CRTs I think and the resolution goes all the way up to 2054x1536. The image quality is crispier than ever. And there is NAVIview software from NEC which allows you to adjust your moniter with your MOUSE in windows display pannel! How easy is that? Well VERY easy. Geometry and color and size adjustment is just faster with a Mouse controlling period. Anyways if your looking for the best moniter for the bang of the buck and want a 21 inch viewable size. This is theee one.

ultimate working pleasure

I know of only one drawback of this monitor and that's it's size.. But then, the image quality is extremely good, I can work for hours behind the screen and not get tired eyes..
and in comparison with other monitors or LCD's the pixel size is as far as I know not yet improved.

Superb picture! The best available.

The monitor rquires a lot of space but the reward is flawless skintones, superb brightness and incredible graphics. It's simply the best 22" monitor on the market.
