4 years then toast

Worked well for 4 years -- in a system that lost several main power supplies -- not sure why the computer power supplies chronically fail(ed) -- in the Phoenix area -- I hear plenty of power surges??? I would suspect this had an impact on this drive. The drive now only spins -- completely unrecognized.


The WORST Experience

Maxtor 6y200m0 was the worst hard disk I've ever experienced before! It crashed after few months irreversibly. I can't understand the apology written by digitaltrends on it.

Greate Drive

I've been using this hard drive for over two years in my computer. I have not had ANY problems with it. I would highly recommend it.

Not a good drive

2drives alredy replaced!!

This is the worse drive ever:
A month ago the Istrted getting S.M.A.R.T. messages about bad sectors and it jumped from 9MB to 33MB within a week. I got the replacement drive from maxtror and couldn't even format it!
