I changed my Live 5.1 with Audigy 2ZS and I cannot believe my ear!!!Wow amazing sound clear and you discover a lot of music you was not hear in your old songs and a lot of hidden back vocals.
This sound card will take your head away I spend hours listen to old songs again to find all the hidden secrets music, and in movies there is another environment because with 5.1 or 7.1 speakers you will have you own home cinema. Games wow hears every pellet.
Highly recommended.
Absolutely Astounding

First reaction when I got this baby running: WOW!
When I first installed the card i was unable to boot the computer successfully. Then I found out that this was caused by a IRQ interference and simply switched to another PCI slot. I booted, installed everything, and the second time i booted, the windows login sound sounded so much richer than the original onboard sound that I knew in an instant that i've hit what I wanted. I went to the driver settings and turned on CMSS with stereo surround (makes a huge difference!), and played some music. Sound was clear and crisp compared to the muddy sound with onboard audio. highly recommended!!!The only slight problem I had is EAX effects in games. It caused the games to lose some sound effects. But with CMSS and stereo surround, who cares!?
Very good

I just hooked My logitech digital Z 5500 speakers up to My Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS via SPDIF (coax) and they sound amazing! The stereo x 2 function is very effective and itunes sound amazing. You have a lot of control and flexibility with the software creative provide you.
Worth the buy!

Nice, but Antiquated

However, there's a slight catch to all this goodness. First, Vista has pretty much done away with the DirectSound API that the Audigy uses. In layman terms, it translates to the Audigy being useless in a Vista system other than to provide better output ports and amplifying the sound a bit. Second, the driver support for current OS's are horrendous from Creative's website. So unless you're prepared to go into digging up drivers, do NOT get this soundcard at this time and age. Creative's basically disabled all the features on their original Audigy driver set for some weird purpose. Possibly to force consumers to switch over to their X-Fi line? Nonetheless, the Audigy 2 ZS is not hardware limited, but rather software limited in this case.
