Quiet and well performs its job...

I got this one 5 or 6 years ago. Until now, didn't have any problems. I almost forgot it is plugged in the case. No sound, no overheat, no errors, well done...
great hard drive

I've had this product for 4 years now with no problems at all (very quiet). Gone through 2 different brands of external hard drives already in 2 years, came to the conclusion to stick with this brand.
Good drive

I have had this drive for 3 years and still strong and quiet (I think, the rest of my pc sounds like a vacuum cleaner so I can never hear it). S.M.A.R.T analyzers show it is still in good condition.
Died in 2 yrs

Mine died after 2 years but is still able to work very slowly with a large clicking sound, just enough to back-up.

I had problems with my MoBo, my Sound Card, my RAM, but this is one beauty which never showed any signs of ageing, though I used to plug it out and use as an external HDD, it suffered some shocks but no, nothing can stop this baby from doing it's job. No noise, no probs, this is the best component in my PC, even after 5 years. Though it's a little late, but I can safely say that you don't need to doubt if you think about goin' for a Barracuda.
