Overheating
by Scott Merritt on Mar 18th, 2008 at 12:06 PM:
You can reduce overheating by putting in better thermal paste. HP did a lousy job spreading the paste on the processor chip on my machine. You can improve the overheating with Arctic Silver.
Ok, 5 1/2 years and finally dead
by Timothy Wiese on Mar 4th, 2008 at 4:38 PM:
I hated it at first, crashed all the time until I did the Bios update, and used this computer for 5 1/2 years. Being in the navy, it's been around the world twice, seen lots of abuse, and finally just died on me. The A/C adapter broke inside the computer, and it's not worth fixing since it doesn't have wireless or USB 2.0. I upgraded the small hard drive, that's the only thing that this thing had going for it for as long as it did. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.
HP Pavilion ZE1250

It has been a headache from day one. First the ac connection broke; next it started overheating and still is. I can run it for about ten minutes if I'm lucky. My last HP computer.
One more thing...
by Phenderson on Oct 4th, 2005 at 7:06 AM:
I have opened the thing up and tightened the screws on the HSF at least 5 times... and it still overheats.
Someone please e-mail me at phenderson at anime-emporium.dyndns.org with a mod that I can do to this laptop to keep it from over heating.
