This is the God of all computers

Alright, this computer not only sports the looks but has the speed and the store space to make you start shivering up your spine. First off the 1.67 ghz to speed up your proccesing, then up to 2g of storage, and acourse you can't forget the superdrive that will make you beg for buttermilk. With the new Tiger software this computer is unstoppable, the only downfall is for the people who can't afford the 3,000 dollar price. But for all of you pc fans, its time to make a change in your life and move to the new revolution, MAC.
Not bad

Though the screen is nice, Sony's 16" XBRITE blows it away in terms of quality.
This notebook is a bit of a dodo bird these days. Most of the apps that Mac power users would need a 17" powerbook for are increasingly requiring G5s, and/or run like total crap on G4s.
Its battery life (about 3 hours normal use) makes it somewhat unsuitable as an on-the-go desktop replacement (unless your definition of "on the go" is "from outlet to outlet") and its size makes it somewhat unsuitable as a commuter train/airplane/coffeehouse etc. portable workstation.
Best computer I've ever had

I've had several computers: Dell Inspiron notebook III 700mhz, Powerbook G3 233mhz, Powerbook G3 400 mhz, Powerbook G4 400 mhz, and now this Powerbook G4 1.33ghz 17". I love this thing. It's been great and has handled just about anything. I also use a Dual processor 2.2 ghz xeon Dell. However, since I've had this powerbook, I don't even use that desktop computer much. The only thing I wish this notebook had was a slightly better graphics/video card. The radeon 9600 64mb is very powerful but for working with complex scenes in Lightwave 3D (or any other 3D app) it would be nice to have a 128 mb video card. Don't get me wrong, it's a very competent machine for 3D. It's just that if you have a scene that contains around 150,000 + polygons then things will get choppy and slow. This is the only reason that I switch to the Dell desktop once in a while because the pro level graphics card in it can handle more polygons. Overall this is a great computer and I'm very happy with it.

I love this notebook. I can't believe how thin it is with the huge 17" screen. Are they really supposed to come out with a dual proc version? I think that would be a first for any type of laptop. Let's hope they come up with a great way to cool it.
