Its a lemon- it will vex you!!!

The Philips 740 DVDVR is a lemon, it worked for us for 9 months, then,out of the blue... it just stoped working,like nothing... zilch it won't even turn on.
I wish Philips would stand by their product and do something like send us a new one. Where are the sold companies of the past???
