Nevr Again

by Tim on Oct 26th, 2008 at 12:45 AM:

Same fuse problem. If you do any research online, you will see that the convergence goes on it after a while also. Which is where I am at now!!! Pioneer is off the list for my next TV, no matter how good the picture is, it is not worth the 6 years I got out of it!

Frustrating

I too have the same fuse problem. I have changed many 4amp fuses. It took Pioneer 10 days to call me back. Service Company wants $200+ just to come to the house before any repairs made. When the TV works I like it, but it is way too frustrating to deal with it any more.

Great TV

I have had my sd-533hd5 for five years. It is a great TV that is EVEN better since I replaced my DVD player with one that has better output. I thought the TV was great before the new DVD, now I think it even better.

I have had no issues with the TV at all.

Blown Fuses

by Leiws James on Jan 2nd, 2008 at 11:08 AM:

For years I have been dealing with replacing glass fuses in my SD-533HD5. I cannot turn off the TV and immediately turn it back on - if I do it will blow a fuse. I have had it checked out by a Pioneer technician with no help. Recently, it cut off, but did not blow a fuse, but it would not turn back on! I like the picture quality but the fuse issue has turned me against this model.
