The COWON D2 is equipped with a 2.5 inch TFT LCD display that supports high-quality QVGA (320x240) video with 16 million colors (24 bits). It also features a touch screen and a transparent overlay-type virtual click GUI for improved user convenience while creating simple, yet luxurious design with minimized buttons on the front.
It supports various video formats including MPEG4, WMV9 and the next-generation H.264 format. Moreover, its world's first highly sensitive earphone antenna technology allows for clear viewing of terrestrial DMB without the need for an additional external antenna. The most important feature of COWON D2 that differentiates it from existing MP3 players is its excellent video support such as DMB recording and video output to TV.
In addition, powerful output of up to 74mW together with several delicate and powerful sound field effects exclusive to Cowon such as BBE, Mach3Bass, MP Enhance, 3D Surround and Stereo Enhance make it possible to play a wide variety of formats including MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV and even FLAC, a lossless compression codec. It has an embedded microphone for recording brief meetings and lectures with ease and also includes such essential features as FM radio, text and an image viewer.
