Sharp GX-30 Review

By

Summary

The Sharp GX 30 has specifications which seem unbelievable. The GX-30 has a dramatically improved visual menu interface with far more sophisticated icons giving the phone's software a more professional feel to it that matches the hardware. The GX-30 also has a postage stamp sized external display that gives a call indicator and allows time, date and day information to be displayed. The small screen can show the same image as the main screen albeit only a small central part of that image which is not particularly useful. The small screen can also be used as a viewfinder if you want to take a picture of yourself. The GX-30 has both a dramatically improved digital camera and a video camera for recording and transmitting moving video clips. The digital camera has a manual hardware setting on the front of the phone to allow switching between close up macro mode and portrait mode- changing this is simply a matter of flicking a switch ring on the rim of the camera. The screen resolution is dramatically improved. The camera enables a very sharp image to be taken such as a legible close up of a till receipt, capturing all the details.
