Product Description
Maxtor MaXLine II drives are ultra-reliable enterprise-class disk drives with better speed and density than tape or optical solutions for superior near-line storage. Maxtor uses a proprietary process to engineer, build and test a select group of drives that achieve enterprise-class MTTF of greater than one million hours. MaXLine II drives are ideal for demanding, full-time enterprise applications where cost per GB and storage density are critical parameters. They offer 5400 RPM spin speeds, capacities of 250 and 320GB, <11ms average seek time, a choice of Maxtor-developed Ultra ATA/133 or serial ATA interfaces and a 2MB buffer.MaXLine II drives are a better choice for many applications that have historically utilized tape, optical media, SCSI or Fiber Channel drives. MaXLine II drives are already proven as the heart of network attached storage systems from major original equipment manufacturers.

“The main advantage of this drive is how cool it runs. I run it in a case with very poor cooling, and it is still barely warm to the touch even after days of operation. I use it as a data drive in my home server and leave it on 24/7. The drive is designed...” More...
